The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office issued a Level 1 Be Ready evacuation notice for the Devils Knob Fire at 10:00 a.m. Friday.

It is for the east side of Tiller Trail Highway between the 3400 and 36760 block. It also applies to Tison Road, Diamond Elk Road, and the Joe Hall area.

Level 1 – Be Ready to evacuate means:

*Be aware of danger in the area and stay informed.

*Make plans and prepare to evacuate. Gather necessary supplies for health, safety and identification.

*Act early if older, have children, disabilities, or limited access to transportation.

*Plan possible evacuation routes. Use www.tripcheck.com  or call 511 for road closure information.

*Check with neighbors and share information. Ask for help if needed. Offer help if able to give it.
