Due to the afternoon forecast high temperature of over 100 degrees, a cooling center will be open at Saint George Episcopal Church in downtown Roseburg from 3:00 p.m. to around 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.

The center will be overseen by Jacob Schlueter. Schlueter said the church is helping by providing the space and some volunteers. Donations of water and other supplies can be taken to the church. Call Schlueter at 701-630-2669 for more information or to offer to help.
