A transient was jailed after an alleged disorderly conduct incident at a store on Friday.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report at 5:10 p.m. a deputy went to a business in the 300 block of North 1st Street in Drain after an employee said a man was being disorderly and refusing to leave the property. The employee said multiple customers were complaining about the suspect.
When the deputy contacted the 65-year-old he continued to refuse to leave. The man was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree disorderly conduct. He was detained without bail and was released on Sunday.
