HOMESTEAD COMPLEX STILL 60 PERCENT CONTAINED, UP TO 5,918 ACRES

The Homestead Complex, burning on the Umpqua National Forest is still 60 percent contained, with slight growth to 5,918 acres as of midday Monday.

A UNF update said fire managers are tracking weather forecasts that may produce favorable conditions for planned tactical burnout operations on the Horse Heaven Creek and No Man fires.

Fire updates:

*Horse Heaven Creek Fire is up to 2,304 acres, remaining 64 percent contained.

*No Man Fire remains at 2,076 acres and 28 percent contained.

*Bullpup Fire size has been adjusted to 473 acres, with containment still at 17 percent.

*Fuller Lake Fire has grown to 426 acres with containment remaining at 5 percent.
