HOMESTEAD COMPLEX REMAINS 60 PERCENT CONTAINED

The Homestead Complex, burning on the Umpqua National Forest remains 60 percent contained, and is still listed at 5,910 acres.

A UNF update said 3 of the 7 fires on the complex are now contained.

Fire updates:

*Horse Heaven Creek Fire remains at 2,298 acres and is 64 percent contained. Fire behavior has been minimal while crews continue with containment and prep work doing chipping along roads progressing to the northeast of the fire. Crews will continue to patrol and keep the fire in-check along the northwest corner in the Horse Heaven Creek area.

*No Man Fire is still at 2,076 acres and 28 percent contained. It has been holding within control lines and has grown very little. Chipping operations will continue to strengthen primary and secondary containment lines.

*Bullpup Fire is at 476 acres and 17 percent contained. Fire behavior has been minimal while work continues on reinforcing secondary contingency lines.

*Fuller Lake Fire is 418 acres and 5 percent contained. Line improvement on the 200 and 300 Roads is nearing completion.
