DIAMOND COMPLEX REMAINS 78 PERCENT CONTAINED, 1,133 ACRES

The Diamond Complex, burning on the Umpqua National Forest, remains 78 percent contained, with the acreage total revised downward slightly to 11,138 acres as of midday Saturday. 1,133 personnel are working on the complex.

A UNF update said Saturday at 7:00 a.m. the Southern Area Hold Complex Incident Management Team assumed management of the Diamond Complex and the Middle Fork Fire under the leadership of Incident Commander Debbie Beard. California Interagency Incident Management Team 4 has been released from the complex.

The Middle Fork Fire is at 5,282 acres with containment up to 46 percent.

Fire updates:

*Pine Bench Fire is at 3,973 acres with containment remaining at 65 percent.

*Potter Fire is up slightly to 3,428 acres with containment still at 38 percent.

The trend of very dry, hot weather continues. Relative humidity is expected to fall to 10 percent in valleys and 15 percent on ridgetops. High temperatures are expected to be in the upper 80s to low 90s for the valleys and mid to upper 80s for ridgelines.
