Interstate 5 was partially closed for a time, following an early morning wreck on Monday.

An Oregon State Police report said just after 4:45 a.m. a semi-truck and trailer combination was northbound on the freeway in the Canyonville area when it failed to negotiate a right-hand curve. The vehicles exited the left side of the roadway and struck the concrete barrier damaging several sections of it, and pushing the barrier out of alignment, requiring the left lane in both directions to be shut down until repairs were made.

The operator claimed that he lost his steering, which caused the crash. No injuries were reported.
