In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

The Umpqua Valley Youth Orchestra is holding registration for its 2024/2025 classes.

They are offered for new students with no prior experience up to advanced players, ages 6 to adult, on the violin, viola, cello and string bass. Classes will start on September 12th and are held weekly on Thursdays starting at 4:00 p.m. UVYO classes will be held at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard in Roseburg.

Registration fees are $95 per student or $250 for a family of 3 or more. Instruments are available for rent for:

*Violin/viola $5 a month

*Cello $10 a month

*Bass $20 a month

Some scholarships are available for both registration and rent. New students will need to be measured for instrument sizing prior to September 12th. Call Director Kristin Parks at 643-5035 to schedule an appointment.
