Crews continue working on suppressing uncontained fires in the Diamond Complex, burning on the Umpqua National Forest.

A UNF update said Saturday’s rain helped slow down the fires and allowed crews to look for ways to fight the fires directly. Crews have also started suppression repair which involves fixing and restoring areas that were impacted by fire-fighting activities. Additionally, an initial attack crew is ready to handle any new fires that might start from lightning.

The Middle Fork Fire in the northwest corner of Crater Lake National Park is 5,280 acres and 2 percent contained. The North Entrance to the park remains from North Junction to the junction with Highway 138.

Updates on other fires:

*Pine Bench Fire: 3,990 acres and 45 percent contained

*Potter Fire: 3,416 acres and 6 percent contained

*Trep Fire: 546 acres and 100 percent contained.
