ROSEBURG GETS SIGNIFICANT RAIN FRIDAY

Roseburg got a significant amount of rain on Friday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the rain gage at the Roseburg Regional Airport measured .85 inches of rain between 12:00 a.m. Friday and 12:00 a.m. Saturday. Most of that rain fell in the evening hours. The last time the Umpqua Valley saw about that much rain in 24 hours was on May 4th when the airport received .84 inches of precipitation.

The high Friday at the airport was 70 degrees, which was warmer than had been expected.
