Roseburg Police jailed a man for a probation violation on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 5:00 p.m. the 39-year-old was found near a business in the 200 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard carrying a black plastic bag. The man showed officers a beer in the bag, which violated his probation stipulations. His probation officer wanted him detained for the violation. The man allegedly spit on officers during the arrest.

He was also charged with aggravated harassment. The man was detained without bail and was released on Friday.
