In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:
Music in the Park in Myrtle Creek continues its summer season of concerts Thursday night.
The Blue Meridian String Band will perform from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Millsite Park in Myrtle Creek. The new local group met while performing with the Umpqua Singers at UCC. Their music is mostly Gypsy Jazz, with a strong Latin fusion element, will bring something new to Music in the Park.
Attendees can purchase food and drinks on site or nearby. Dogs are welcome if kept under control and cleaned up after.
The series is celebrating its 37th year. It is coordinated by the Myrtle Creek/Tri City area Chamber of Commerce.
