ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED HARASSMENT INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged harassment incident on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 4:30 p.m. officers responded to assist fire personnel with an individual who had an open fire, behind a business in the 1500 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. The 51-year-old Paramount, California man was given opportunities by fire crews to remove his food but did not do so.

After the fire was extinguished, the suspect allegedly shoved one of the firefighters and spat on another.  He was arrested without incident.

The man was charged with harassment and aggravated harassment. He was detained without bail and was released early Wednesday.
