A Roseburg man was taken to the hospital following a motorcycle versus pickup accident on Tuesday evening.

A Roseburg Police report said just after 7:45 p.m. the 26-year-old rider was observed by officers traveling at a high rate of speed in the area of Northeast Stephens Street and Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. The man continued south on Southeast Stephens Street and was unable to stop in time before colliding with the pickup at the intersection of Stephens and Southeast Washington Street.

The man was transported by ambulance to CHI Mercy Medical Center. He is listed in stable condition at last check, according to a hospital spokesperson. Charges are pending in the case.
