HOMESTEAD COMPLEX AT 5,875 ACRES, 35 PERCENT CONTAINED

The Homestead Complex, burning in the Umpqua National Forest, is at 5,875 acres and 35 percent contained.

A UNF update said the complex experienced moderated fire behavior on Monday. Slow rates of spread are expected. In addition to resources on the ground, a K-MAX and Black Hawk helicopter have been assigned to the fires to assist from the air. Some rain in the forecast for Wednesday could impact the receptivity of fuels to fire.

*Horse Heaven Creek Fire: 2,235 acres

*No Man Fire: 1,940 acres

*Bullpup Fire: 462 acres

*Fuller Lake Fire: 397 acres

*Reynolds Butte Fire: 335 acres
