A Spokane, Washington man was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving on Saturday afternoon.

An Oregon State Police report said at approximately 3:50 p.m. a sedan was southbound on Interstate 5 about two miles north of Winchester traveling at 111 miles per hour in heavy rain. It was reportedly being driven in a reckless manner. The 74-year-old driver was contacted and determined to be under the influence.

The man was detained without bail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
