Drivers should use caution and expect delays as road maintenance is underway on Southeast Douglas Avenue in Roseburg.

A City of Roseburg release said the Roseburg Public Works Department has hired a contractor to replace six curb ramps on Douglas Avenue at Southeast Rose, Jackson and Main streets. Curb ramp replacement is being performed weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The project is expected to take about four weeks to complete.

The contractor will then begin overnight work on road base repairs on Douglas Avenue from Rose to Main streets. Road base repairs will be performed weeknights from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. and is expected to be completed in early October.

Pedestrians and drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through work zones.
