ALL BUT 1 EVACUATION ZONE CANCELED ON DIAMOND COMPLEX

August 17, 2024 6:00 a.m.

In coordination with fire managers, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has canceled all but one evacuation zone in the Diamond Complex.

A Level 1 Be Ready notice remains in place for one residence on the east side of the Potter Fire. An interactive map reflecting current evacuation areas can be found on the DCSO website at: www.dcso.com/evacuations.

Although evacuation zones were canceled in 12 areas, residents should remember that there is a significant forest closure which may include a number of U.S. Forest Service roads, campgrounds and trails, in areas where evacuation notices have been canceled. This forest closure is independent of the DCSO evacuation process.
