A national workshop Called “Skills for Disagreeing Better” is coming to Roseburg next week.
Also known as “Skills for Bridging the Divide”, it will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Southeast Lane Avenue in downtown Roseburg on Thursday, August 22nd at 2:30 p.m.
A release said the free workshop is for any person, conservative, libertarian, independent or liberal, who wants to listen and speak in such a way that people on the other side can really hear what you have to say. Organizers help families and friends reconcile and restore relationships that have been stressed by politics.
The creator and sponsor of the workshop, Braver Angels, is a national movement to depolarize the nation. It puts on workshops, leads debates on difficult topics, and works with elected officials including the national Governors association and the United States Congress.
