The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has issued some evacuation downgrades for the Dixon Fire.

Lieutenant Brad O’Dell said residents returning to a Level 2 “BE SET” area, should be aware that danger still exists and should remain ready to leave at a moment’s notice.

O’Dell said the American Red Cross Shelter at Days Creek Charter School has closed. Anyone impacted by the fire who has unmet needs may contact Emergency Management through the Douglas County Dispatch Center at 440-4471.

While Tiller Trail Highway is open to through traffic, those traveling through the incident are asked to drive at reduced speeds. Firefighters may still be working along the highway.
