The Umpqua Valley Winegrowers Association has announced a new date for their Umpqua Valley Harvest Tour, which will now take place on September 21st.
An UVWA release said the previous date conflicted with the Oregon/Oregon State football game, so the event was rescheduled.
UVWA Executive Director Ali Rogers said, “We have many football fans in the wine industry, so have made the decision to push the event back one week”. Rogers said, “This will actually make for a better experience for customers, with more grapes ready for harvest and winemakers able to offer more vineyard and cellar experiences”.
The Umpqua Valley Harvest Tour provides an exclusive opportunity to explore the region’s renowned vineyards and wineries. Attendees will enjoy small-group, hands-on vineyard and cellar experiences, learning what happens behind the scenes during harvest. They will also taste award-winning wines, sample hand-crafted small bites and meet the passionate winemakers behind the labels.
Tickets for the wine-making event are available on the winegrowers’ website: www.umpquavalleywineries.org/event/Hrvest-Tour
