The Diamond Complex on the Umpqua National Forest consists of 27 fires and has grown to 9,663 acres, with 836 people assigned.

A UNF update said the Middle Fork Fire in the northwest corner of Crater Lake National Park is sharing resources with the Diamond Complex as needed. The parks is still open to the public.

The largest fires include:

*Middle Fork Fire: 5,039 acres with zero percent contained

*Potter Fire: 2,699 acres with zero percent contained

*Pine Bench Fire: 2,520 acres with 44 percent contained

*Lemolo Fire: 1,247 acres and 34 percent contained

A warming and drying trend has begun with less wind. Smoke may return to the area and reduce visibility and hinder air operations.
