Roseburg Police jailed a man for a trespass incident on Monday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 1;00 p.m. the 42-year-old from Winchester was contacted at Riverside Park in the 500 block of Southeast Spruce Street while drinking a light beer. It was discovered that he was excluded from the downtown area.

The man reluctantly poured out the alcohol and was arrested without incident. He was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and cited for drinking in public. The man was detained on $1,000 bail.
