Friends of Umpqua Valley Police K9 Programs will hold its nineth “K9s in the Grapevines” event at Melrose Vineyards on Melqua Road this Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
A release from the non-profit organization said this event will feature multi-agency teams that will talk about their programs, answer questions, provide opportunities to meet the canines up close and give a demonstration.
Most of the canines are German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois or Springer Spaniels. Agencies that are part of the nonprofit program include the Roseburg Police Department, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Winston Police Department, Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team and the Reedsport Police Department.
Due to limited seating, purchasing tickets in advance is encouraged. Those interested can go to the Melrose Vineyards event page at: https://www.melrosevineyards.com/product/K9s-in-the-Grapevines
Tickets are $75 per person. Each attendee will receive a keepsake wine glass with the K9 logo. The event includes dinner, beverages, desserts, silent auctions, a live auction and all the K9 festivities.
