A Riddle man was jailed following alleged disorderly conduct at the Douglas County Fairgrounds Saturday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 11:30 p.m. the 20-year-old was called in after a witness said he was fighting with a security guard near the main gate and allegedly drinking alcohol. The man was contacted and allegedly smelled of an alcoholic beverage. He reportedly refused sobriety tests and told the deputy to call his lawyer.

The man was asked to walk to a command trailer. He took about 10 steps, fell to the ground and loudly complained of twisting his ankle and his ability to walk. The man was escorted about another 80 yards where he went completely limp and was allegedly yelling at patrons to call 911. A patrol car was driven inside the fairgrounds where the man loaded up and taken to jail. He was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and detained without bail. He was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol. The man was released on Sunday.
