WEATHER PATTERN CHANGE LEADING TO CLOSER TO NORMAL TEMPERATURES

A change in the weather pattern is forecast to bring the Umpqua Valley closer to normal temperatures through the weekend, with below normal temperatures expected for much of next week.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that highs should be in the mid to upper 80s on Saturday and Sunday. The normal high for this point in August is around 87 degrees. Monday through Friday are slated to drop further to the low 80s. There is little chance for any rain in the foreseeable future, which is normal for August in the Umpqua Valley.

The mercury reached 95 degrees Thursday at the Roseburg Regional Airport.
