Thursday evening, the Umpqua National Forest adjusted a closure order.
A UNF update said it includes some exceptions from the previous closure order.
This closure, which still impacts all the Cottage Grove Ranger District, most of the Diamond Lake Ranger District, and parts of the Tiller and North Umpqua Ranger districts, is in response to fire activity to protect public and wildland firefighter safety.
The updated exemptions in the new Diamond Complex Order include Howlock Mountain Trail up to and including the loop trail a half mile west of 1458 Spruce Ridge Trail, Dellenback Trail 1460, 2610 Birds Point Road from Highway 138 to Lemolo Lake KOA and Lemolo Lake. KOA will remain open. Additionally, the Rocky Ridge Closure Order is still in effect and is currently being reevaluated by fire management and forest leadership.
