The search for a missing McMinnville woman is active and ongoing.

Detective Kevin Taggart of the Myrtle Creek Police said 69-year of Kathleen Wilson has not been found. Taggart said the woman left Myrtle Creek early Monday morning on her way to Chiloquin. Wilson’s 2012 Chevrolet Cruze with Oregon license plate number 747EDB was last seen passing the Dry Creek area eastbound on Highway 138E somewhere between 7:30 a.m. and 7:40 a.m. that morning.

Taggart said due to the large remote search area, MCPD has been assisted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon

State Police, and the U.S. Forest Service Law Enforcement, along with Klamath County law enforcement partners. Personnel working the fires east of Roseburg were all briefed and are also keeping an eye out for Wilson’s vehicle.

Thursday morning, OSP brought in a plane to work the search area from above. Due to smoke from the fires being thick and at a low altitude, they were unable to continue the search.

Anyone with information or who thinks they may have seen Wilson, or her vehicle, is asked to call law enforcement at 541-440-4471.
