Drivers should use caution and expect delays when three days of maintenance to extend the life of Lookingglass Road begins next week in southwest Roseburg, weather permitting.
A city release said starting Monday, August 12th, road maintenance crews from City of Roseburg and Douglas County will apply a chip-seal surface to about 4,700 linear feet, or 0.90 miles of Lookinglass Road from West Harvard Avenue south to the city limits.
The work will be performed daily from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is expected to be finished by the end of Wednesday, August 14th, according to the Roseburg Public Works Department.
Cracks in the roadway were sealed last summer and touched up last week before the upcoming chip sealing was scheduled.
Lookingglass Road will remain open, but drivers should expect delays, possible detours, and/or flagging to control traffic.
Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone.
