August 7, 2024 3:50 a.m.

Tuesday evening, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office downgraded a previous Level 2 – SET evacuation notice near Lemolo Lake to a Level 1 – BE READY evacuation notice due to a reduced safety risk to the public from the Lemolo Fire.

The area downgraded to a Level 1 – BE READY includes:

*Lemolo KOA Campground

*Poole Creek Campground and boat ramp

*East Lemolo Campground

*USFS 2614 Road south of Inlet Campground. This includes the Kelsay Valley, Pumice Flat and Elbow Butte areas
