Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation early Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 2:00 a.m. the 32-year-old from Coos Bay was stopped for speeding in the 1900 block of Northeast Stephens Street. He was on parole through Coos County. His parole officer was contacted and requested that the man be detained. He was taken into custody. The man was also charged with driving while suspended-misdemeanor. He was detained without bail.
