The Oregon State University Extension Service will offer a workshop on soil erosion on Friday August 23rd.

It will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 5;00 p.m. in the extension auditorium on Southeast Douglas Avenue, just east of the Douglas County Courthouse.

Staff from Extension and the Douglas Soil and Water Conservation District will talk about keeping soil on the land, increasing water quality, and stabilizing eroding stream banks. The workshop will cover how erosion occurs, the solutions to stop it, and resources available from the Douglas Soil and Water Conservation District.
