Roseburg School District has a couple of things that are new for the upcoming school year.
An RPS release said the district has introduced a new parent communications tool, ParentSquare. The new platform replaces One Call Now and Remind. ParentSquare will be used for mass alerts and district updates, attendance notifications, and messages from schools and teachers to families. Parents and guardians will automatically receive alerts and messages sent from schools and the district but are encouraged to register for an account to participate in two-way communication, confirm contact information and update preferences. To learn more about this transition and how to register for ParentSquare. go to: www.roseburg.k12.or.us/families/parentsquare.
RPS will be supplying all basic school supplies for elementary students this year due to the district’s use of Student Success Act funding. Parents should be prepared to send their children to school with a backpack, wired headphones/earbuds, and two boxes of Kleenex.
