The Diamond Complex burning in the Umpqua National Forest is up to 5,622 acres and remains 11 percent contained with 554 people assigned. The Middle Fork fire within Crater Lake National Park is 728 acres and 1 percent contained.
The largest fires are:
*Pine Bench Fire: 2,117 acres and 10 percent contained.
*Lemolo Fire: 873 acres and zero percent contained.
*Trail Fire: 839 acres and 40 percent contained.
*Potter Fire: 747 acres and zero percent contained.
*Watson Fire; 236 acres and 50 percent contained.
With hotter and drier weather, the fire will become more active, with isolated group torching, making short and scattered crown runs possible. Smoke production will increase with increased fire behavior. Smoke may reduce visibility and hinder air operations.
