Roseburg Police cited two people for prohibited camping on Tuesday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 2:50 p.m. a 49-year-old and a 57-year-old were contacted at their camps set up on the riverbank, just below a business in the 1900 block of West Harvard Avenue. Both people were familiar with the Time, Place and Manner ordinance and have been issued citations before. Their tents were set up within 30 feet of the edge of the South Umpqua River, which is a prohibited area. The camps were also set up on private property without the permission of the property owner.

Both were cited and released on the scene. They were also warned of trespass and packed up their camp as an officer spoke with them.
