EXTENSION/MASTER FOOD PRESERVERS WORKSHOP ON TOMATO PRESERVATION

The Oregon State University Extension Service and Master Food Preservers are offering a workshop on tomato preservation on September 21st.

It will be held from 10:0 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Glide Rural Fire Protection District Office.

Presenters will prepare cherry-picked recipes to help attendees learn the techniques needed to fill a pantry with sauces, salsas and more. Participants will receive hands-on training in water bath and steam canning, dehydrator recipes, and learn tips to avoid getting burned while freezing.
