July 25, 204 3:50 a.m.

A driver eluded deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office following a chase on Tuesday afternoon.

A DCSO report said at 4:40 p.m. a deputy tried to stop a sedan for expired tags in the 100 block of Sether Avenue in Glendale. The male driver eluded. At the end of Tunnel Road, the driver conducted an e-brake turn and sped forward striking the front of the patrol vehicle. The pursuit continued into Josephine County where the driver went up an unmarked driveway and bailed on foot.

K9 Ozzy and a drone searched the area but were unable to locate the driver. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
