Roseburg Police cited a woman for harassment following an incident Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 2:00 p.m. officers contacted a juvenile after learning the suspect had struck him in the face with her hand. The incident allegedly occurred in the 800 block of Northeast Huntley Avenue. Officers could see a large purple/red bruise on the left side of the juvenile’s face.

Child Protective Services was contacted, and a case was opened. Officers contacted the woman later. She admitted to hitting the juvenile with the backside of her hand during an altercation with him. The woman was cited and released on the scene. CPS contacted the woman at her home and set up a safety plan until their investigation was complete.
