Since midday Monday another 11 fires totaling an estimated 55 acres have been identified and added to the Diamond Complex, on the Diamond Lake Ranger District of the Umpqua National Forest.

A UNF update said there are now 23 fires totaling an estimated 3,318 acres in the complex, with 243 personnel assigned. The complex is considered to be 3 percent contained.

The largest fires are:

*Pine Bench: 1,320 acres and zero percent contained. It is north of Highway 138 near Dry Creek.

*Trail: 821 acres and 5 percent contained. It is east of Highway 138 on the west side of Mt. Thielsen.

*Lemolo: 404 acres and zero percent contained. It is north of Lemolo Lake on Bunker Hill.

*Potter: 288 acres and zero percent contained. It is about two miles southeast of Potter Mountain.

*Watson: 115 acres and zero percent contained. It is north of Highway 138 on Watson Ridge.

All other fires in the complex range from 3 acres to 91 acres.

Current weather conditions support increased fire spread and spotting potential. Extremely dry fuels and rugged, steep terrain add to challenging fire behavior.
