Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged menacing incident on Sunday.

An RPD report said just after 10:00 a.m. officers contacted the 37-year-old after he allegedly threatened a victim with a hammer in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. The man’s belongings were blocking the sidewalk and the victim asked him to move so she could get past him in her wheelchair.

The man reportedly grabbed a hammer, raised it above his head and threatened to kill her. He was arrested without issue and taken to corrections. The man was charged with menacing. Bail was set at $6,250.
