Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man on the charges of strangulation and harassment, following an incident early Thursday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 4:00 a.m. the 25-year-old allegedly initiated a physical altercation with the victim, by choking her and biting her. The incident took place in the 200 block of Berry Loop Lane in Green.

A witness walked into the room after hearing a commotion and reportedly saw the suspect’s hand across the victim’s neck. She tried to intervene and allegedly got bit as well. The victim had marks on her neck and hand. The suspect was taken into custody. Bail was set at $6,000.
