A forest closure is now in effect for part of the Umpqua National Forest.

This is for a portion of the UNF in response to fire activity to protect the public and wildland firefighter safety. The closure is in direct response to the Trail Fire. While much of the forest remains open to the public, the following acts are prohibited upon trails and general forest areas:

*Being on a closed road

*Going into or being upon an area closed for the protection of public health and safety
