ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED

Roseburg Police jailed a man for driving while suspended following a traffic stop on Tuesday. An RPD report said at 1:15 p.m. officers contacted the 55-year-old at the intersection of Northeast Stephens Street and Northeast Chestnut Avenue. Officers learned the man was driving while suspended at the misdemeanor level. He was also driving uninsured.

The man said he knew he was suspended and wasn’t supposed to be driving. He was placed in handcuffs and taken to corrections. He was detained on $3,500 bail. The man was also cited for failure to obey a traffic control device and failure of a previous violator to file.
