ROSEBURG MISSES TRIPLE DIGHTS AND A RECORD HIGH FOR TUESDAY

Roseburg missed hitting the triple digits and getting a new record high for the date on Tuesday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the mercury reached 99 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. It had been forecast to hit 102 degrees. The record high for July 16th remains 103 degrees set in 1941.

While the airport did not record any measurable precipitation due to the late afternoon lightning storms, some weather stations did receive light amounts of rain. The most as of early Wednesday, was .16 inches of rain recorded at a weather station in Glide.

The Umpqua Valley is expecting continued sunshine with highs in the low to mid 90’s through Saturday.
