BOTH VEHICLES LIKELY A TOTAL LOSS IN TWO-CAR ACCIDENT

Both vehicles were likely a total loss following a two-car accident in Roseburg on Tuesday afternoon.

A Roseburg Police report said at 2:45 p.m. a 44-year-old woman was traveling west on Northeast Alameda Street and entered the intersection with Northeast Stephens Street with the intention of continuing straight onto Northwest Stewart Parkway. An 81-year-old woman was traveling north on Stephens Street and thought she had the green light. The second vehicle collided with the rear driver’s side of the first vehicle. Neither party was injured.

The second driver was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device based on an independent witness statement. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
