Two people were hospitalized after a single vehicle accident early Thursday morning in south county.

Information from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 6:00 a.m. a large SUV hit a tree and damaged a fence in the 900 block of Days Creek Road in the Days Creek area.

The driver, a 44-year-old woman from Myrtle Creek, was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for her injuries. Her passenger, a 41-year-old, also from Myrtle Creek, was transported by Reach Air Ambulance to a medical facility in Medford. The SUV was towed from the scene.
