ROSEBURG SEES 93 DEGREES ON THURSDAY

After several days of triple digit record setting temperatures, the Umpqua Valley saw its second day in a row with a cooler high temperature and no record for the date on Thursday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the mercury reached 93 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The record high for the date was 106 degrees, set 63 years ago in 1961.

The area is forecast to see highs in the mid-90s for most of the next week.
