DINT TEAM AWARDED 2024 OUTSTANDING DRUG ENFORCEMENT TASK FORCE

On Tuesday, the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team was named the 2024 Outstanding Drug Enforcement Task Force by the Oregon/Idaho High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Program and Oregon Narcotics Enforcement Association.

Information posted on DINT’s Facebook page said for the calendar year 2023, HIDTA projected DINT seizures in drugs and assets totaled in excess of $395 million dollars.

Sheriff John Hanlin and Commissioner Tim Freeman attended the ceremony in Lincoln City, where DINT members accepted the award.

DINT was formed in 1989 and is currently in its 35th year of existence in Douglas County. DINT consists of a multi-agency task force dedicated to identifying, arresting and prosecuting high level drug crimes to maintain a safe living environment for the community.
