Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged harassment incident Sunday.

An RPD report said at 5:00 p.m. a victim claimed that the 23-year-old suspect had hit her in the back with a belt while they were in their motel room in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. The victim had a small mark on her back and the belt was found tucked underneath the bed.

The man was charged with harassment and was taken into custody. Bail was set at $2,500. He was released on Monday.
