The is July 4th, America’s Independence Day, and that means there are a number of closures.

Federal, state, county and city offices are closed. No regular mail will be delivered. Banks and credit unions are not open. Professional offices are shuttered. Most retail businesses are open, though some are closed, and others have reduced hours.

The holiday commemorates the ratification of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, establishing the United States of America.
